Hello Frank, Mary and all,
________________________________________________________________________
A short note to you after looking on the internet to see if you had a site and I found it.
Mike and I attended your school I think in 1994 without looking it up for sure (the diplomas
Are hanging in the barn office). Want to say Hello and hope all is well with you. We are not
working for a rancher anymore we have our own place and both still work full time jobs.
Mike is teaching Powerline at Mitchell Tech and I work at the Artesian Veterinary Clinic.
Our oldest boy got married last fall and the youngest is a sophomore, the oldest has cattle with us
And lives close by but also works in town. They all three help out a lot. After my boss died at the
sale barn I did various jobs until I went to the vet clinic.
I am seriously thinking about going back for a refresher course even though
I work around it but for our own use, to learn more management tips and practices.
At the clinic we are taking care of the sick and helping manage the herds to prevent
Sickness which is great, plus we do some management practices
like semen testing. pelvic measuring, freeze and hot branding, seasonal vaccination programs.
Will check on your class dates and keep in contact. E-mail is wonderful. Take care and
Thank You for all the things we learned before. It is just nice to keep up to date in this ever changing
Business.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Graham and staff,
I've been slow in getting my thankyous to you. We were still feeding
every day until Tuesday this week. We finally have clear ground,
unfortunately it is very wet and muddy, but the cows can eat grass again!
I want to let you know how much I appreciated all your hospitality,
genuine carring and all the vast knowledge you shared during my week in
your school. I couldn't take it all in during that week and am going over
my notes each day till I can. You were all wonderful! Thank you so much.
We had about 24 heifers and mature cows that the vet had not been able to
preg test before the storms came. So, I checked them last Saturday. I
found four open; three mature cows and a heifer. After I said the three
cows were open, my brother-in-law told me they were ones the vet had
checked in December and declared open. That gave me some encouragement
and a little self-confidence. I had told the family that 4 afternoons of
clinical practise does not make me an expert and to expect that sometimes
I will be wrong. They were all very supportive.
The fourth critter was a heifer. I started her on a bottle at birth cause
her mother had mastitis so badly she could not nurse the calf. Our
daughter and her family took over the calf's care at their place. Their
neighbor's bull got in and impregnated her. The calf was too large and
we had to pull the calf. When I checked her last Saturday I didn't know
what to think. Nothing inside her felt right. Where the left cornua
should have been I found a sort of banana shaped, hard mass. I couldn't
find a right cornua or cervix. It was really bizzare. I haven't the
knowledge to even quess what is going on, but we all concluded that she
was damaged and should be culled. Unfortunately our grandchildren, even
our daughter, had become so attached to the heifter, they took her home
again and we didn't sell her. We'll have to see what happens.
I would like you to know one other thing and why my experience at your
school was such a blessing for me. I was in a car accident in September
2005. I sustained head and neck injuries, fairly severe ones. It has
been a long road back. With my husband's encouragement and support, lots
of prayer, I decided to enroll in your school. I have wanted to for many
years, but was always to busy with my appraisal work to do it. Because of
the accident I am very limited on what I can do. I actually was able to
fly to Kansas City, rent a car and attend the classes without too many
panic attacks by myself. I should have done better on the test, but I
still have some panic and memory problems at times. I felt good in the
barn with what I could feel and identify. Between the experience there
and the cows I checked when I got home, my level of self-confidence has
gone up. As a result of the accident I have horrible migraine headaches.
I got injections in my neck, shoulders and temples a week before I came to
the school. They help reduce the headaches, so I can function. Your
patience and gentle manner were a tremendous help to me.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how great I think you are and thank
you again for the school and your personal kindness and understanding.
Sincerely,
Faye Stroh
Dear Frank & Staff:
We hope you all have a great Holiday!
Things have been going well for us. Preg checking was pretty good. I think between Randy and Josh they missed 6 out of 125 cows.
Thhe A-I-ing started last week. It was a little rough but I think we have the hang of it. Thanks again for everything you taught us.

Frank and Mary,
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for such a wonderful and
informative week. I had a great time learning about the cattle industry
and how I can improve our operation. I have already taken advantage of the
lessons learned at Graham School. Since I got home, we have pulled three
calves with great results, we successfully saved a heifer from who we
removed a putrified calf. We have had two heifers who didn't clean out and
a prolapsed uterus. I have been practicing preg checking and feel more
confident each time. Needless to say, things have been busy around the
Ramsey's farm. The information from Graham School has been very, very
valuable to me and my family.
I thank you again for such an awesome week. The school far exceeded my
expectations. I can't wait to come back again some day.

Mr. Frank Graham
I attended the Graham School for Cattlemen in September 2005. When I began researching your school, my first thought was I would learn enough to make the cost of the school pay for itself in a year or possibly two. The fact is that in less than a month and a half I have used the knowledge gained from your school to fully pay for the cost of the course. We are not only saving money on vet bills for Preg checking, pelvic measuring and calf delivery, but also from the Heard Management skills I was taught.
Your instructors are awesome in their field, not only because of the written material and data provided, but because of their own wealth of hands on personal experience. You have a great group of instructors who truely know what they are teaching. I have had a few questions over the last couple of months, every time I have called for information you have provided me with exactly the help and answers I have needed. The support from you and your staff is invalueable.
Keep up the Great Work!
Respectfully,

FRANK,
I just wanted to thank you again for a great week. Your class was very informative and entertaining. The lectures combined with the on farm practical experience was really helpful. I am working with our vet on the farm doing pregnancy checks and I'm confident at doing 60 day cows. One of the best parts of your class is Gene and Franks dedication to Agriculture and the ability to share that with the students. I also enjoyed the oppurtunity to network with other students from all parts of the country.
Thank you again for a great class

I am a rancher I have been in the ranching business all my life, with the exception of the time I served in the service, during the Viet Nam war. I attended Graham School in 1979, Our ranch was in trouble "a ranch that had been in our family for about 100 years at that time". We needed help and we needed it fast. I attended Graham school and I studied as hard as I could, when I returned, I put as many of the management practices into effect as I could. During those years the lending institutions were our biggest enemy, they would loan easy but they foreclosed at the drop of a hat. Make one mistake and your ranch was next months auction. With the knowledge I gained at Graham School we managed not only to survive but we actually bought a section on land that was for sale next to us. I believe Graham School was a turning point for our Ranch.
